The Journey
GrupAI evolved from our customer discovery process where we identified a clear pain point: WhatsApp chaos in professional communication.
We built an MVP in just 2 weeks that transformed WhatsApp from a chaotic stream of messages into an organized productivity tool with AI-generated summaries.
Within three weeks, we reached 400 users across multiple countries, showing strong initial traction.
However, after the free trial period, we faced significant churn, retaining only 11 paying customers.
Key Learnings
- 💡When launching an MVP, set a launch date and don't change it. If the deadline is tight, reduce scope.
- 💡Unit economics are crucial from your very FIRST customer.
- 💡Be aware of Pivot fever: balance between persistence and knowing when to change direction.
